The Crafters Workshop ist ein kleines Familienunternehmen die die richtige Idee zum richtigen Zeitpunkt hatten.

Jaime und Ted stellen 1998 fest, dass es einen Mangel an einem umfangreichen Sortiment von Vorlagen und Schablonen auf dem Markt hat. Und so entstand TCW!

Viel mehr gibt es dafür über das mannigfaltige Sortiment an Stencils und Templates zu sagen! Es gibt sie in den Größen 6x6 inch und 12x12 inch.

Die Schablonen werden zum Teil von Jaime Echt, aber auch von bekannten Künstlern wie Julie Fei-Fan Balzer, Dina Wakley oder Claudine Hellmuth entworfen, um nur einige zu nennen.

Ihr könnt mit den Schablonen mit allen Farben arbeiten die euch zur Hand sind. Mit Acrylfarbe, Sprays, Embossing, Modellierpaste, Krakelierpaste, Gesso, Soft Gel matte, Strukturpaste und vieles mehr. Nach der Anwendung empfehle ich sie mit warmen Wasser zu waschen, bevor Farbe oder sonstiges eintrocknen kann. Wenn ihr erstmal angefangen habt, mit ihnen zu spielen, werdet ihr sehen, das viele Ideen dann von ganz allein kommen. Bei meinen Beispielen habe ich versucht, euch möglichst viele Anregungen zu geben! Ich hoffe ihr fühlt euch inspiriert!

The Crafters Workshop is a small family company that had the right idea at the right time.

Jaime and Ted notice in 1998 that it has a lack of a comprehensive range of templates and stencils on the market. Thus arose TCW!

Much more is it about the diverse range of stencils and templates to say! They are available in sizes 6x6 inch and 12x12 inch.

The templates are designed in part by Jaime Echt, but also by well-known artists such as Julie Fei-Fan Balzer, Dina Wakley or Claudine Hellmuth, to name a few.

You can work with the template with all the colors you have on hand. With acrylic paint, sprays, embossing, modeling paste, Krakelierpaste, gesso, soft gel matte, texture paste, and more.

After application, I recommend it to wash with warm water, before the paint or other art supplies can dry out. If you have first started playing with them, you will see that many ideas will come by itself. In my examples, I have tried to give you as many ideas! I hope you feel inspired!

My Work with the Stencils:

Ein Leporello mit verschiedenen Schablonen und Techniken.

Als ich diese Schablone zum ersten mal in Händen hielt dachte ich ???... was macht man denn damit? Und legte sie auch schon wieder weg. Doch als ich dann anfing, war sie die erste, mit der ich arbeiten wollte! Ich hatte plötzlich diese Idee im Kopf. ( Layout „YOU ROCK“) Mit Modellierpaste und diese dann mit unterschiedlichen Farben zu besprühen um die einzelnen Körperabschnitte besser zu betonen. Und ich war sofort begeistert! Das macht Spaß und sieht so was von klasse aus! Das wollte ich unbedingt noch mal machen und so entstand dann diese Journaling Seite. Hier habe ich nur mit Farben gesprüht und dann gestempelt. In diesem Journaling geht es ums Tanzen. Als ich jung war, war ich so gut wie jeden Abend tanzen. Ich habe es geliebt und tu es noch immer. Ich würde viel darum geben, könnte ich noch so tanzen wie früher!

Den Background dieser Seite habe ich mit unterschiedlichen Schablonen gestaltet. Mit Farbe und eingefärbter Modellierpaste um möglichst viel Textur und somit Bewegung ins LO zu bringen.

As I held this mask for the first time in my hands, I thought??? ... what does it do? And also laid it off already. But then when I started, it was the first one I wanted to work with! I suddenly had this idea in my head. (Layout, "YOU ROCK“) with modeling paste and then spray them with different colors in order to emphasize better the individual body sections.

And I was excited! This is so much fun and looks great!

I really wanted to do it again, and so arose this journaling page. Here I have only sprayed with paint and then stamped in it. The journaling is about dancing. When I was young, I was dancing almost every night. I loved it and still do it. I would give a lot of it, I could dance like before!

The background of this page I created with different templates. With paint and colored modeling clay to keep texture as much and thus to bring movement into the LO.

Wie gesagt, das war meine erste Arbeit mit den Schablonen. Was sehr interessant war. Ich hatte ein ungefähres Bild im Kopf, wie das LO aus sehen würde. Dann hatte ich die Frau fertig und wusste nicht mehr weiter. Also hab ich es liegen lassen und derweil andere Projekte gemacht. Irgendwann kam mir dann die Idee wie ich das Foto anbringen kann. Doch erst mit den goldenen Spritzern und den Sternen sah es richtig dynamisch und lebendig aus. Meine Tochter meinte, „hey Mama du malst ja TopModel!“ J Der Stempel mit den Schuhabdrücken passt doch super, oder?

As I said, that was my first job with the stencils. What was very interesting. I had a rough idea in my head, like the LO would look. Then I finished the woman and did not know what. My daughter said, "hey mom you paint TopModel" ☺ The stamp with the shoe prints very fitting, right?

Zuerst hab ich die Kreise mit Modellierpaste aufgetragen. Was das Bild wieder sehr dynamisch macht. Der Rest kam dann von allein aufs Bild. Die Zahlen auf den Kreisen hab ich mit einer Stencil und Distress Ink von Tim Holtz aufgetragen.

Hier habe einfach nur Modellierpaste aufgetragen, mit Glimmer Mist besprüht und mit dem Heißluftfön getrocknet. Dadurch sind die Bläschen so aufgegangen. Ein schöner und raffinierter Trick.

Here  I just have applied modeling, sprayed with Glimmer Mist and dried with hot air. Thus, the bubbles are worked out. A nice and neat trick.

 

Hier habe ich nur rumprobiert und gespielt. Zum Teil mit der Ghosting-Technik und verschiedenen Farben.

Auch Kalender lassen sich mit den Schablonen von TCW wunderbar aufhübschen! Das Deckblatt habe ich mit verschiedene Farben von Dylusions besprüht und bestempelt.

Am unteren Rand habe ich Modellierpaste verwendet.

Calendar also can be wonderful „pimpup“ with the stencils of TCW! The cover sheet, I sprayed with various colors of Dylusions and stamped.

At the bottom, I used modeling paste.
